ABOUT THE POSITION
We are in search of an individual excited and eager to get started in the Human Resources space to join our team. As the HR Assistant, you will perform administrative tasks and services on behalf of our HR service team which supports our growing client list. We’re looking for someone to come in and learn the HR landscape, building a foundation to transition into a consulting role in 1-2 years.
THE DAY-TO-DAY
- Assist the team on projects such as developing job descriptions and handbook policies, creating Company Employee Handbooks and developing client trainings.
- Play an active role in keeping our SharePoint drive, which houses client files, and internal and external client resources, up to date and organized.
- Manage social media accounts for the company, including postings and responses.
- Assist with website content by partnering with internal partners
- Moderate and manage certification records for monthly harassment prevention trainings
- Assist with the composition of the company’s monthly client newsletter
- Shadow the HR service team on client meetings, assisting with workload when necessary.
- Administrative services, including filing, letter composition, editing and communications
- Understand and adhere to time management in meeting assigned project deadlines
- Communicate with employees and clients in a professional manner
- Become familiar with Company and Departments goals and metrics
- Prepares various formal and written documents
- Learns and follows all corporate processes and polices Qualifications
- Attention to detail, good judgement, and people skills are 100% mandatory.
- Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resources files, records, and documentation.
- Assists with planning and execution of special events such as annual benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, and employee recognition events.
- Provides clerical support to the HR service team.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned.
Required for the Position

- Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to deconstruct complex problems to identify the analytically addressable questions
- Patient, tactful, and approachable
- Strong communication skills that enable you to speak to all levels of an organization both internally and, on occasion, externally with clients.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other commonly used computer platforms.
- Valid CA driver’s license and current vehicle insurance/registration
- Strong organizational skills and a sharp attention to detail.
- This is an entry-level role so while we don’t expect previous work experience, we will expect this individual to hold themselves to the professional standard we expect from all Bizhaven employees.
