ABOUT THE POSITION

Bizhaven hires confident and self-starting individuals to join our Client Service Team. As an
HRBP, you will spend your work time consulting with your clients on business matters
happening in the HR space and make recommendations regarding employee relations,
recruitment, training and development, compensation, benefits, and handbooks. You will be the
driver of HR initiatives with clients while creating strong business relationships and constantly
delivering top-tier service.

Salary Range: The salary range for our Business Partners is $75,000-$125,000 (depending on
position level).

THE DAY-TO-DAY

  • Advise clients on how to apply and execute human resources policies and procedures.
  • Serve as an internal partner by analyzing your client’s current HR programs and recommending solutions. This may include developing, revising and/or implementing new and existing policies and procedures.
  • Review existing client HR programs for compliance with state/federal laws and regulations.
  • Have a seat at the table in a rapidly growing business servicing some of the best companies in the Greater Sacramento Area and nationwide.
  • Prepares and maintains data related to specific HR projects.
  • Assists with the development and coordination of recommended changes regarding workflow.
  • Creates and presents training sessions related to specific HR programs, including Sexual Harassment Prevention.
  • Consults with clients on employee relations issues, including employee separation.
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • The availability and flexibility to travel regionally to visit clients.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline
  • 7-10+ years in HR, including HR Consulting experience strongly preferred
  • Professional designation in Human Resources strongly preferred – SHRM CP and/or PHR/SPHR
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to deconstruct complex problems to identify the analytically addressable questions
  • Microsoft Office knowledge – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of an organization
  • Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational development and employee relations
  • Valid CA driver’s license and current vehicle insurance/registration

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides clients with appropriate recommendations on the administration of human resources policies and procedures.
  • Serves as internal consultant by analyzing a company’s current HR programs and recommending solutions.
  • Develops, revises, and implements HR policies and procedures for bizhaven clients.
  • Ensures client HR programs are in compliance with established policies and procedures and state/federal laws and regulations.
  • Prepares and maintains data related to specific HR projects.
  • Conducts audits of HR activities to ensure compliance.
  • Presents training sessions related to specific HR programs, including Sexual Harassment Prevention.
  • Consults with clients on employee relations issues, including employee separation.
  • Maintain an assigned Book of Business, ensuring consistent, quality service for each client.
  • All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Experience in HR Generalist or Business Partner position or applicable experience.
  • High level of self-confidence with exceptional communication skills and ability to influence.
  • Advanced organizational skills and ability to successfully navigate ever-changing priorities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related discipline preferred
  • 5+ years in HR, including HR Consulting experience preferred
  • Professional designation in Human Resources – SHRM CP and/or PHR/ SPHR preferred
  • Understanding of HR best practices, including up-to-date knowledge of California and Federal laws and regulations
  • Microsoft Office knowledge – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational development, and employee relations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel to client locations
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
